Jane B. Tatibouet

Jane B. Tatibouet, VP of Operations of Hawaii Hotel Consultants, LLC is responsible for all design and renovation functions drawing upon extremely broad and deep experience in all functions of hotel operations, design and renovations. A graduate of Cornell University, majoring in hotel and restaurant management, Jane was sent to Hawaii by Hilton Hotels International to assist in the Food and Beverage Operations at the prestigious Kahala Hilton Hotel.  She soon became the Executive Housekeeper and was responsible for Kahala’s first major guest room renovation.  Hilton sent her to New York to work with the hotel’s original designers. This experience  brought together  her academic studies in Textile Chemistry, Hotel Design and Hotel Mechanical Systems providing the basis for her extensive hotel design and renovation during the past 20 years.

While working as the Assistant to the Managing Director of the Kahala Hilton, she was hired by Westin Hotels International to oversee the construction of Makaha Inn & Country Club as well as to create a new restaurant facility at their Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki.

While her children were young, Tatibouet concentrated on small projects including operations training for employees and managing small renovations, at locations such as the Regent Hotels in Hawaii and the Park Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She was later hired by Aston Hotels & Resorts to develop the original interior design for the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower Condo Hotel, and subsequently became its General Manager to oversee all operations on both the hotel and condominium side.

After several more Aston hotel renovations Tatibouet founded Hawaii Hotel Consultants (“HHC”).  Recent major hotel and hotel/condo renovations by HHC include the Aqua Waikiki Wave Hotel, the Aqua Bamboo Resort & Spa and the Aston Pacific Monarch Condotel.

Jane, who is married to Andre Tatibouet, has also served Hawaii as an elected State Representative in the Hawaii State Legislature, the only hotelier ever elected to that body from Waikiki, and was the recipient of the Outstanding Business Award by the National Federation of

Independent Business.  She recently concluded an 8 year term as a Regent of the University of Hawaii System and earlier as a Trustee at Cornell University.

Tatibouet has spent considerable time among the people of Kauai, including leadership as a Regent of Kauai Community College, as Hawaii State Chairman of the American Red Cross, as President of the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii and as a long-time member of Rotary International.
